PA Wade Bennett has been a practicing Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant since 1994, after graduating from the University of Utah PA program. Wade further has a Master’s Degree in Emergency Medicine from the University Of Nebraska School Of Medicine. Prior to attending PA school, Wade was a 10 year Firefighter Paramedic for the Orange County California Fire Department. He was selected Firefighter of the Year in 1992 for the State of California.
Wade is currently a Lieutenant Colonel, serving as Commander of a special operations medical unit for the Colorado Air National Guard. He has deployed numerous times in his 36 year military career, to include being assigned as the first Physician Assistant in the Emergency Department of the Iraq Trauma Center in Balad. He formerly was assigned to US Central Command Headquarters, and established a new medical section for a Special Operations unit. Early in his career, he was assigned duties with the Secret Service and guarding Betty Ford.
Wade and his wife have been married over 30 years, and have 4 children. Wade is very involved in Veterans’ organizations, and is a member of the Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association. When not working, you may see Wade around town on his Big Blue Harley!
